FAQ

1What is Ultherapy® and how does it work?

The Ultherapy treatment is a non-invasive procedure to lift skin on the face, neck, under the chin and on the eyebrow, and improve lines and wrinkles on the décolletage. Ultherapy® can help you achieve a fresher, more youthful look from your brow to your chest.

Ultherapy® delivers focused ultrasound energy to the same foundational layer typically addressed by surgeons during cosmetic surgery—without cutting or disrupting the surface of the skin. This energy initiates a natural process of the body stimulating the growth of fresh new collagen, which replaces old and aging collagen.

2How long does a treatment take?
The length of the treatment will depend on the area being treated and your individual treatment plan. Treatment can vary from as little as 30 minutes for a brow lift to as long as 90 minutes for a full face and neck lift.
3Will I need to take time out ?
After an Ultherapy procedure, you can resume your normal activities immediately without having to follow any special post-treatment measures unless otherwise advised by your doctor.
4When will I see results and how long will they last?
The ultimate results will take place over 2-3 months, as tired collagen is replaced by growth of the new collagen. As skin continues to age, future touch-up treatments can help keep pace with the natural aging process. Results can be maintained for 12-24 months, at which time further treatments will secure more fantastic results.
5What does the treatment feel like?

As the ultrasound energy is delivered, you will feel small amounts of energy being deposited to precise depths, indicating that the collagen building process has been initiated, most clients report discomfort as a 5- 6 out of 10. Comfort levels vary from person to person, but the sensation only lasts while the ultrasound energy is being delivered. Your practitioner will take measures to make the experience as pleasant as possible, and most patients leave comfortable and excited about the results to come.

6Is Ultherapy® safe?

No treatment procedure is safe; however, no serious adverse events were observed during the clinical study evaluation of the Ulthera® System. Ultrasound energy has been used in the medical field for more than 50 years. In addition, every Ultherapy® practitioner receives extensive procedural training and tools, so you can feel confident in choosing Ultherapy® in conjunction with your treating physician.
